Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure the hardness of a surrounding wall of a center hole over the overall length of a rotor by remote-controlling a hardness detector adapted to measure the repulsing rate of an impact body. CONSTITUTION:A hardness gauge operator 1 on which a hardness detector 7 adapted to electrically measure the repulsing rate of an impact body 10 is arranged mobile at the center hole 3 of a turbine rotor 2. A remote control 6 is operated to move a hardness gauge operator 1 by way of a working cable wrapped in a connecting rod 5 to be set at a measuring position. Then, the hardness detector 7 is operated to detect the hardness of the surrounding wall 3a of the center hole bringing the impact body 10 into contact therewith to be measured. A detection signal is fed to a hardness indicator 12 through a high frequency cable 11 for digital indication.
