Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a sheet containing light diffusers uniformly dispersed and having both excellent light transmission and light-diffusing properties, by molding a light-transmissible resin compsn. contg. at least two light diffusers blended therewith, said light diffusers being selected from SiO2, CaCO3, and fine particles of an org. high-molecular compd. each having a specified particles size.
CONSTITUTION: At least two light diffusers selected from SiO2 (A) having an average particle size of 0.5W20μ, CaCO3 (B) having an average particle size of 0.5W 15μ and fine particles of an org. high-molecular compd. (C) having an average particle size of 1W50μ (e.g. an acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer) are uniformly dispersed in a light-transmissible resin (e.g. an acrylic resin) to obtain a compsn. which is then molded into a sheet by an extrusion method, etc. to produce a light- diffusible sheet. Alternatively, the above two kinds of the light diffusers are dispersed in a paint for synthetic resins, and the surface of a light-transmissible synthetic resin sheet is coated with the resulting paint and then dried, whereby the titled sheet can be produced.
EFFECT: Dies are protected from staining during molding.
