Abstract
PURPOSE: To avoid a large-sized construction and efficiently generate an energy in a propeller used for a wind or water power plant by converting constantly varying axial flows of a fluid into a unidirectional torque.
CONSTITUTION: In case blade areas 11 are independently subjected to various pressures because they are consecutively applied at one side in an undulated fashion, blades 14 of which each is loaded with springs 4, 9 are independently moved and balance in respective positions where an inclination of each blade 14 is regulated by the springs 4, 9 on the basis of pressures and flow rates generated on each blade area 11. The blades 14 repulse against the pressures to generate a unidirectional torque. In another case the blade areas 11 are independently subjected to pressures of different directions, a uniditectional torque can be obtained with the aids of control effects of the springs 4, 9. If a fluid is suddenly reversed during revolution of the propeller 13, the same result of the unidirectional torque may be achieved with the aids of the control effects of the springs.
