Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength, by heating a part to be welded between the riser and the conductor by TIG arc, purging the gas in a neighboring mica piece, performing welding by further heating, thereby eliminating blow holes in the welded part. CONSTITUTION:In the case the commutator riser 6 and the coil conductor 8 are welded by TIG welding, tungsten electrodes 11A and 11B which are protruded from two nozzles 10A and 10B of a compound torch are arranged on the neighboring riser 6. At first, the part to be welded is heated by the arc 12 of the preceding electrode 11A. The gas in the neighboring mica 3 is purged and the part to be welded is preheated. thereafter, the riser 6 and the coil conductor 8 are welded by the TIG arc 13 of the succeeding electrode 11B. In this method, the burning gas of the mica 3 does not enter into welding beads 16, and the formation of the blow holes can be prevented.
