Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus not generating solidification of an ink adhered to an end surface of a nozzle or ink solidification in the nozzle constituted in such a mechanism that an ink droplet is wiped off when recording is stopped and, thereafter, a pore of the nozzle is covered with a sealing body to close the same. CONSTITUTION:A surface opposed to a nozzle 5 of a moving member 9 movable in a condition guided by a guide rails 10, 11, is provided a charging electrode 8, an ink absorbing body 12 and a sealing body 13. When recording is stopped, a solenoid mechanism 16 is magnetically excited to push and move the moving member 9 to an A direction shown by an arrow by a pushing body 17 and an ink droplet adhered to a leading end of the nozzle 5 is wiped off by the ink absorbing body 12 and, further, the sealing body 13 is opposed to a nozzle pore of the nozzle 5 to close said nozzle.
