Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of permeability or other properties, by a method wherein a magnetic head consists of Fe-Si-Al alloy having a saturation flux concentration and a saturation magnetostriction constant being within a specific range value. CONSTITUTION:An Fe-Si-Al alloy, having such a property that a saturation flux concentration is 1.0T(Tesla) or more and a saturation magnetostriction constant is less than 5X10<-6>, is used as a magnetic head core material. The Fe-Si-Al alloy, which is used as the magnetic head core, consists of 7-10% Si, 4.5-7.5% Al, and the rest consisting of Fe. Three percent, based on the total weight, of 1 type or 2 types or more selected out of Ti, V, Cu, Mo, Y, Zr, Hf, Nb, Te, platinum element, a rare-earth element, and P.C.B can be contained as a sub-component.
