Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a phenolic resin molding material capable of providing moldings excellent in surface luster and dimensional accuracy and free of metal abrasion, by adding a hardened thermosetting resin powder obtained by grinding by means of a turbo type crusher to a phenolic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A hardened thermosetting resin powder, obtained by grinding by means of a turbo type crusher (e.g., turbo millor Mikro-cyclomat), is added to a novolak or resol type phenolic resin obtained by the reaction of a (modified) phenol and an aldehyde (in the case of novolak type resin, about 6W20wt% hexamethylenetetramine is added as a curing agent). As the other additives, an usual filer, releasing agent, colorant, etc., are used.
