Abstract
PURPOSE:A resin composition excellent in bag-making characteristics such as catchability by a clamp, cuttability and evenness of doubly folded edges, and suitable for preparing a square-bottom bag, which comprises high-density PE, isotactic PP, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and talc. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition for preparing paper-like film comprising 30- 80wt% high-density polyethylene of density >=0.945g/cm<3>, 10-40wt% isotactic polypropylene, 5-30wt% ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer pref. of vinyl acetate concentration 3-15wt%, and 5-40wt% talc. Although it is difficult to put conventional synthetic resin film to practical use because it is difficutly catched by a clamp, reverts to its original forms and wrinkles when folded in bag-making process because of weaker nerve tlian paper, is difficutly cut into a jigged configuration because of high tear strength TD and forms uneven doubly folded edges because of slipperiness, the resin composition is able to give paper-like film free from these difficulties and suitable for the preparation of a square-bottom bag.
