Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the cooling capability by providing a rotor shaft with a heat pipe structure providing a radiation fin at an end part, providing an air hole in a stator, introducing cooling air from an air introducing room, and cooling the rotor and the stator separately. CONSTITUTION:The shaft 21 of the rotor 22 having the shape of a hollow heat pipe is provided. A wing shaped fin 24 is provided at the end part of the extended part. A ventilating hole is provided in a casing 23 which is located at a position corresponding to said wing shaped fin 24, and the heat generated in the rotor 22 is radiated. The cross section of the stator 26 is square, and air holes 27 are provided at the corners in the axial direction. The air holes 27 are communicated to the air introducing room 28 having a fan 25, and the cooling air is supplied. In this constitution, since the rotor 22 and the stator 26 are cooled by the separate paths, the cooling capability is increased.
