Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a recording method capable of using toner having low electric resistance by giving induced charge by electrostatic induction to toner, carried by a toner carrier driven to turn, corresponding to a pattern signal. CONSTITUTION:A toner carrier is composed of a donor roller 1 made of a conductive material and has a metallic cylindrical core member 2 and an elastic material layer 3 made of rubber of <=10<8>OMEGAcm volume intrinsic resistance provided around the surface of the core member. Around the donor roller 1, a hopper 5 containing toner 4, a multistylus electrode 6, and a transfer roller 7 are provided and the toner 4 is obtained by kneading resin and a large amount of carbon and has <=10<10>OMEGAcm low volume intrinsic electric resistance. The multistylus electrode 6 has many electrode styluses 8 at slight intervals and those electrode styluses 8 face the donor roller 1 at a fine interval (t) while a film 9 made of an insulator is fitted to the flank of each electrode stylus 8.
