Abstract

PURPOSE:To rise the cleaning efficiency, by using a conductive fur brush as a cleaning member, and applying AC voltage. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image charge 11 of plus polarity, and a residual toner 12 charged to minus polarity exist on a selenium photosensitive drum 10 which has finished transfer. The drum is rotated counterclockwise, and the electrostatic latent image charge 11 and the residual toner 12 are fed into a cleaning device which is constituted of a conductive fur brush 13, a bag filter 14, a housing 15 and a vacuum motor 16. When the charge 11 and the toner 12 contact with the fur brush 13, a toner 18 discharged and neutralized by AC voltage applied to the fur brush 13 is absorbed by the vacuum motor 16, and is collected by the bag filter 14. In this way, the cleaning efficiency rises.
