Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to detect the temperature of food to be cooked correctly even if the food is placed on a turntable out of the center or its size is small, by diposing a pair of infrared-ray detectors above the turntable in an oven. CONSTITUTION:A light admitting window 7a is opened in a top plate 4a that is disposed just above the center O of a turntable 6, and another light admitting window 7b is oened also in the top plate 4a at a position displaced from the former window 7a. That is, the latter window 7b is located at a position spaced about R/2 from the center O of the turntable 6, where R is the radius of a rotary disk 6b of the turntable 6. Further, infrared-ray detectors 8a, 8b are disposed above the light admitting windows 7a, 7b, respectively, for measuring the intensity of infrared rays emitted from food 5 to be cooked on the turntable 6. Here, the measurement range of the detector 8a covers an inner area of a circle drawn around the center O, while that of the detector 8b covders the inner area of a circle havng a radius of about R/2.
