Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive liquid crytal display element which has superior mechanical intensity and improved moisture resistance, by sealing liquid crystal in a cell formed by arranging substrates opposite each other and by sealing a circumferential gap part tightly with an organic sealing material, and then by providing more than one sealed part. CONSTITUTION:Two upper and lower substrates are opposed mutually at a prescribed distance and a circumferential gap part is sealed with an organic sealing material to form a cell, wherein liquid crystal 3 is sealed up to provide sealed parts 1 and 2 of the organic sealing material at a distance. The double-sealed parts have liquid crystal sealing openings at the same position and liquid crystal is sealed up between the two sealed parts as well.
