Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause no residual liquid in the valve and also to eliminate any residual liquid in the piping by a method wherein preparing openings to the underside of the by-path valve and directly connect the opening to suction and discharge port of the pump.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid is suctioned into the pump-case 14 through a pair of suction ports 17a, b and discharged through discharge ports 18a, b accompanied with the rotation of the vane 20. In such operation, when the flow of the liquid is stopped by e.g. a stop valve, etc., the suction port 17b of the pump 13 becomes negative pressure and the discharge port 18b becomes high pressure, causing high pressure liquid flows into the by-pass valve 1 through connection portion 24, discharge port 18a and opening 11. The fluid pressure pushes and opens the valve body 6 to the left side in the drawing, making chambers 3 and 4 to connect each other, and by-path the liquid to the suction port 17b side through opening 10, suction port 17a, and connection port 24. On the other hand when the pump 13 is stopped, the liquid in the by-path valve 1 flows down from the openings 10, 11 prepared to the undersides of the chambers 3, 4 to leave no residual liquid in the by-path valve 1.
