Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the increasing of the amount of water by providing a reproduction pump at the upstream of a centrifugal pump while conducting each suction port through a bypath then making the slope of the water-lift curve sharp under low amount of water while making gentle under high amount of water. CONSTITUTION:Under low water flow where the impeller 8 will be in the operating range of a reproduction pump, the water will flow into a centrifugal impeller 11 to produce the high pressure water where a check valve 17 will close the outlet of a bypath 16. Consequently the water lift characteristic will have the sharp inclination as shown in the range A of the drawing. When the flow will exceed over the limit flow of the reproduction pump, the water can not be supplied to the centrifugal impeller 11 thereby the pressure at the sucking section of said impeller 11 will be made lower than that at the sucking section of the reproduction pump to open the check valve 17 and the water will flow directly into the centrifugal impeller 11 to continue the pump function thus to reduce the inclination of the flow-lift characteristic resulting in the high flow.
