Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent burst of a glass fine tube by bringing specific gravity of a liquid to be separated in the fine glass tube and that of a liquid in a liquid sump into closer relation.
CONSTITUTION: Difference between the inner pressure loaded to an inner wall of a fine glass tube by centrifugal force applied to a liquid to be separated in said fine glass tube and outer pressure loaded to the outer wall of said fine glass tube by centrifugal force applied to a liquid in a liquid sump provided around said fine glass tube is approached to zero by equalizing specific gravity of the liquid to be separated in said fine glass tube and that of the liquid in the liquid sump or approaching both gravities thereof to prevent the burst of said fine glass tube. One example of a holder of the fine glass tube is shown in Fig. and said holder comprises an outer cylinder 8 having a bore provided in an inner side thereof and an inner piece 9 which is inlaid in the bore of said outer cylinder and has a bore into which an outer wall of the fine glass tube is inlaid and forms the liquid sump.
