A recording electrode 3 is installed on a non-magnetic sleeve and the counter electrodes 4 are arranged at a fixed interval opposete to the recording electrode 3. A chainlike magnetic toner 7 on the sleeve 2 is moved by rotation by rotation of a magnetic roller 1, and the toner 7 is supplied continuously on the recording electrode 3. An image 7 is formed on a recording belt 5 corresponding to an image signal and according to voltage application between electrodes 3, 4.
