Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the sound field at stereo and monaural playback and to extend the width of playback sound field effectively on audible feeling, by delaying the branch signal of left and right channel input signals in different delay time and adding the difference signal of the left and right delay signal to the left and right input original signals. CONSTITUTION:The branched signal from input original signals to left and right L, R channels is inputted to delay circuits 1, 2 with different delay tine respectively, the delay signal from the delay circuits 1, 2 is added to a subtractor 3 and the branched signal is added to an adder 4 and a subtractor 5. Delay difference signals LD1-RD2 for both delay signals are obtained at the subtractor 3 and the delayed difference signals LD1-RD2 are inputted to the adder 4 and the subtractor 5 as indirect sound component respectively. They are added with a left input original signal L at the adder 4 to output an output signal L+LS1-RD2 and subtracted from the right input original signal R at the subtractor 5 to output an output signal R+RD2-LD1, allowing to extend the sound field of stereo and monaural reception.
