Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure spacing by providing an auxiliary disk spacing mechanism, which couples with a disk spacing mechanism and has an air blow-off hole, in the cavity rotary shaft of a flexible disk turning mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In a cavity rotary shaft 2, an auxiliary disk spacing mechanism 16 which slides in a disk stacking direction is provided. The mechanism 16 is coupled with a disk spacing mechanesm 6 by a coupling part 17, and both the mechanisms 6 and 16 are arranged at the opposite positions. Air 7' supplied to the cavity rotary shaft 2 is supplied between adjacent flexible disks 8 and 9 as air flow 12' from an air injection outlet 3 by way of an air blow-off hole 15 of a mechanism 16 for spacing between the both. Consequently, spacing at some position of a writing and reading head 5 is secured, so that data is read and written accurately.
