Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the tar like substance from generating and accumulating on the wick and enable to maintain the long term stable combustion by a method wherein at least one part of a fuel evaporation part made of silica-alumina type porous material is coated with heat resisting inorganic pigment.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid fuel is sucked from an induction wick 2 up to a main wick 1 and evaporated from the surface of the fuel evaporation part 3. The material with high heat resisting property and high uniformity of surface is suitable for the fuel evaporation part 3. Therefore, becuase the fuel evaporation part 3 made of short fibrous substance such as silica-alumina or the like bonded with bonding agent such as colloidal silicon or the like or made of porous material such as silica- alumina or the like bound in the form of flexible sheet with organic binder or the like has uniform surface shape, the good coating effect can be obtained by only applying heat resisting inorganic pigment to the fuel evaporation part 3.
