Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep stable combustion of fuel in a liquid fuel combusting apparatus comprising a vaporizing section, by forming a layer for oxidative destruction of organic compounds over the surface of said vaporizing section, and thereby facilitating removal of tar accumulated in the vaporizing section by way of oxidative destruction of the same.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid fuel combusting apparatus of this invention is constituted by providing a fuel spraying rotor 5 in a case 2 incorporating therein a heater 3 and having a wire netting 6, for instance, in a front opening, and disposing a fuel supply pipe 4 adjacently of the rotor 5. Here, a layer 1 for oxidative destruction of organic compounds is formed over the surface of a vaporizing section A in case 2. This layer 1 is made of an incomplete mixture of at least one catalyst for oxidative destruction of tar, selected from titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, vanadium oxide, chromium oxide, iron oxide or the like, and an inorganic binder. As the inorganic binder, there is used on consisting of at least one of silicate compounds, aluminum phosphate compounds, glass or the like.
