Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the shaft length of a generator, by a method wherein on one side surface of the rotor of an exciter generator, an insulative annular collar is arranged so as to be perpendicular to a shaft, and rectifiers are disposed thereon. CONSTITUTION:On a rotating shaft 4, a revolving field 1 of a main generator and a rotor 2 of an exciter generator are secured so as to be as adjacent to each other as possible. Moreover, to both side surfaces of an iron core 5 of the rotor 2 of the exciter generator, insulative annular collars 6 and 7 are contacted so as to be within the plane perpendicular to the shaft 4. To the collar 6, fan-shaped conductor plates 10 are secured so as to be symmetrically located, as well as bolts 8 are inserted through the respective conductor plates 10, which are secured to the iron core 2. Ends of respective rectifiers 11 are electrically connected and secured to the rest of face of each conductor plate 10. The other end of each bolt 8 electrically connected with the corresponding conductor plate 10 is connected to the field core of the generator while the other end of each rectifier 11 is connected to an armature coil of the exciter generator to constitute a rotary rectifier.
