Abstract

PURPOSE:To promote resource saving by installing a wheel lift-up device to the lower body of the truck bed and lifting up some of the wheels of the ground during an idle traveling after unloading. CONSTITUTION:For a normal running loaded with cargo a piston 15 of a hoist 14 is extended to keep the wheel 21 in contact with the ground. When the truck bed is made empty, however, the piston 15 of the hoist 14 shrinks in, lifting the wheel 21 off the ground. Thus, the rolling friction between tyres and the ground is reduced, reducing fuel consumption and abrasion of tyres.
