Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a die casting alloy with high anodic oxidizability while making effective use of specified scrap aluminum sashes by adding a specified amount of Fe and Ti to the scrap sashes as a basic composition.
CONSTITUTION: The used scrap aluminum sashes are made of A6063 alloy consisting of ≤ about 0.10% Cu, about 0.20W0.6% Si, ≤ about 0.35% Fe, ≤ about 0.10% Mn, about 0.45W0.9% Mg, ≤ about 0.10% Zn, ≤ about 0.10% Cr, ≤ about 0.10% Ti, ≤ about 0.15% impurities and the balance Al. To the scrap A6063 aluminum sashes are added 0.6W1.5% Fe and 0.06W0.15% Ti.
