Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an output of oscillation having a clear spectrum through variation of the frequency of oscillation for an oscillating circuit using an elastic surface wave resonator and formed into an IC. CONSTITUTION:An elastic surface wave resonator G is connected to both the collector and the base of an amplifying transistor M to be connected with oscillation capacity elements C1 and C2. The collector is connected to a power supply terminal T1 through a load resistance RO, and an output of oscillation is obtained through a terminal 3. The resonator G includes a transducer TD consisting of roller screen type electrodes E1 and E2 provided on a main surface 5 of a semiconductor substrate 4 plus reflectors H1 and H2 provided at the position opposite to the electrodes E1 and E2. Furthermore a reflected frequency control electrode K is provided between the TD and the H2 to be connected with an oscillation frequency varying power supply circuit S. An electrode 8 is provided on a main surface opposite to the surface 5 and earthed. Both DC and AC voltages of the circuit S are varied to change the phase of a surface wave. Thus the frequency of oscillation can be varied.
