Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an output analog signal with less distortion and dynamic range to the same degree as those of a D/A converter with good accuracy, by using a D/A converter less in the accuracy. CONSTITUTION:An input digital signal in n-bit from an input terminal 17 is applied to a digital adder 20, the adder 20 adds a constant digital code to the input digital signal and applies the digital signal after addition to a D/A converter 19. The converter 19 converts this digital signal into an analog signal and inputs the analog signal to an analog adder 24. If the adder 20 has an overflow exceeding n-bit, an overflow detector 21 turns on an analog switch 23. Thus, the adder 24 adds the output analog signal of the converter 19 with an analog signal corresponding to full-scale of the converter 19 and the result of addition is transmitted to an output terminal 18 as an output signal of a D/A conversion circuit 16.
