Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a plastic composite product with large welding strength without spoiling its appearance by a method wherein a desired time after a sintered part begins to be heated a molded part begins to be heated and both of them are pressure welded into each other. CONSTITUTION:To take an example, when a water spray cylinder 1 of porous sintered resin and a molded base 2 of the same resin are welded to provide a waterspray product, electric current is supplied to a heater 5 to heat a hot platen 4 at a desired temperature (such as about 260+ or -5 deg.C) and then a welded part 1a at the left end of the water spray cylinder 1 is heated by contact with the hot platen 4. A fixed time (about 10-20sec) after, the welded part 3a (projecting part) at the right end of the base 2 is heated by contact with an expanding part 4a of the hot platen 4. When both of said end parts are heated up to the approximately same temperatures the hot platen 4 is removed, the welded part 1a of the water spray cylinder 1 is hotmelted into the welded part 3a of the base 2 to provide the water spray product.
