Abstract
PURPOSE:To finely vary a focused area, and to obtain a receiving pulse signal having high image resolution, by providing a lot of delay line groups, and switching these delay line groups at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:Each vibrator of an ultrasonic vibrator array 11 provides plural focused areas through a receiving part 12, respectively, therefore, is inputted to plural delay line groups 13 connected in parallel with each other. These delay line groups provide a prescribed delay quantity which is different a little from each other, and provide focuses F1-FP to echo signals passing here simultaneously, respectively. An output signal from the delay line group 13 is added by an adding part 14, an output signal from this adding part 14 is sampled respectively by a selector group 15 by pulse outputs C1-CP from an analog multiplexer 17, generated by every focus F1-FP, is synthesized by synthesizer 16, at every repetitive period, and a video signal is sent out through an output terminal 18.
