Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve developability and transferability by mixing an insulation characteristic microcapsul toner wherein core parts consisting of a soft solid material and fine magnetic powder are coated with an electric charge controllable material and conductive fine particles. CONSTITUTION:(a) An insulation characteristic magnetic microcapsule toner consisting of core parts consisting essentially of a solid soft material and fine magnetic powder and wall parts contg. an electric charge controllable material enclosing the cores and (b) conductive magnetic particles having volume average grain sizes smaller than the volume average grain sizes of said toner are mixed. Materials of about 1-15mu grain sizes that can be magnetized, for example, those consisting of metals such as Fe, Ni or the like or oxide or alloys of these metals are preferable as the conductive magnetic particles to be used. Materials of <=1mu grain sizes that can be magnetized are used for the fine magnetic powder. Oleic acid, wax, hardened fats and oils, low molecular polymers, etc. are enumerated as the soft solid material.
