Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to record an image with high resolution and high density without using any special material, by a method wherein the softening point of a binder resin for a base layer of an ink sheet is set to be higher than that of a thermoplastic resin used in an ink layer. CONSTITUTION:An ink sheet 1 is produced by laminating the ink layer 1b on the base layer 1a. The base layer 1a comprises an electrically conductive powder dispersed uniformly in a binder resin, while the ink layer 1b comprises a coloring material dispersed uniformly in a thermoplastic resin. Let the softening point or melting point of the binder resin in the base layer 1a be Tm1 and that of the thermoplastic resin in the ink layer 1b be Tm2, the ink sheet 1 is produced so as to satisfy the condition of Tm1>Tm2.
