Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a speed change gear which can eliminate the need of a special retaining device so as to be reduced to compact size by retaining a return spring of an outside circular piston of a double hydraulic servo of the speed change gear by an inside circular piston. CONSTITUTION:An inside circular piston 637 is mounted on the outer periphery of a center support 62 and is pressed against an intermediate support wall by a return spring 610, one end thereof being brought into contact with a circular spring retainer 612 axially hooked by a snap ring 611. An outside circular piston 635 is pressed against the intermediate support wall 63 by a return spring 609 interposed between the piston 635 and an operating plate 639. The spring 609 mounted on the back of the outside circular piston 635 is retained by the operating plate 639 of the inside circular piston.
