Abstract
PURPOSE:To lower the cost of a titled sliding member and improve its baking resistance and abrasion resistance by providing a melt-sprayed layer consisting of Mo and Al alloy or Cu alloy on the surface of the sliding part of a base material. CONSTITUTION:Both Mo powder and Al alloy or Cu alloy powder as a matrix material are metl-sprayed simultaneously, or discretely or mixdely on the surface of the sliding part of a base material of iron metals or Al alloy or the like, whereby a melt-sprayed layer of about >=50mum thickness is formed. Al-Si alloy or Al-Pb alloy, etc., are used as the Al alloy, and hyper-eutectic Al-Si alloy are particularly preferable. Aluminum bronze alloy, phosphor bronze alloy are used as the Cu alloy, of which aluminum bronze alloy particularly preferable. In this way, the melt- sprayed layer contg. 2-30wt% Mo, and the balance Al alloy or Cu alloy is formed on the surface of the sliding part of the base material.
