Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate analysis value with limited sample as well as a shorter replacement time by a method wherein a new sample is switched to be connected to a sample passage and fed to an analyzer after complete removal of the residual sample using limited amounte fo the new sample by interruption of the flow thereof several times. CONSTITUTION:In a sample switching device 1 to an analyzer 7 of a gas chromatograph or the like, a sample is fed to a sampling valve 5 via a sample passage 4 by way of solenoid valves 3a and 3b separably provided on pipings 2a and 2b of samples A and B and the valve 5 are switched with a controller 8 according to a predetermined program. The valve 5 has and switches an inlet section 6a and an outlet section 6b of a weighing tube 6, an inlet section 6a of a carrier gas c, an inlet section 6b to the analyzer 7, an inlet section from the passage 4 and paths 5a, 5b and 5c to a drain section 9 from one to another by turning. After the previous sample A is switched to a sample B, the sample A left in or attached to the passage 4, the weighing tube 6 and the like is washed by interrupting the flow of the sample B and the valve 5 is switched to feed the sample B to a measuring device 7.
