Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to operate a guide vane for a water turbine in a stable manner, by prescribing a speed pattern for the guide vane corresponding to the stroke of the guide vane, and adding an automatic vane controlling system utilizing a value obtained through detection of the time change of the speed of the guide vane and the prescribed speed pattern. CONSTITUTION:The limiter value of a variable limiter circuit for a guide vane opening controlling section 1 is made variable in response to vane opening and closing time setting values corresponding to the opening thetax of the guide vane that is determined by a speed pattern instructing section 7, and the output of the guide vane opening controlling section 1 is utilized as an instruction signal for the actual speed of the guide vane. Further, by forming an actual speed controlling system in a minor loop in which dthetax/dt is calculated, a required characteristic can be obtained at the time of opening and closing the guide vane. Therefore, the actual speed of movement of the guide vane can be controlled in a proper and stable manner according to the opening of a water port by the function of the instructing section 7, and the structure of a vane driving section 4 can be simplified.
