Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient multielectrode type airtight welding chamber by providing opening parts to the top surface and side surfaces of the welding chamber, and inserting and pressing blocks buried with electrodes holders having electrodes of freely adjusrable projecting lengths airtightly into said opening parts. CONSTITUTION:Side walls 7 forming a welding chamber 6 are fixed airtightly via O-rings 9 to a base 8, and side surface blocks 11 buried with electrode holders 13 are inserted and pressed into the opening parts of said side walls 7 by the operation of cylinders 10 whereby they are assembled airtightly via O- rings 12. On the other hand, a top block 15 buried with many electrode holders 13 is built airtightly to the top surface part of the chamber 6 together with a top cover 17 via O-rings 16, 18. The work 19 such as spacer is placed on a holding table 20 in the lower part of the chamber 6, and is welded by using the electrodes 14 mounted freely adjustably of projecting lengths in the holders 13. The chamber 6 permits evacuation through an air release port 21.
