Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress the spring back effect and prevent any expansion of an organic electrolyte battery by unifying an annular seat and a positive mixture containing acetylene black used as a main conductive auxiliary agent together by molding, and inserting thus molded body into a positive can by extruding that from a formation mold. CONSTITUTION:In constituting an organic electrolyte battery containing lithium used as a negative active material, a metal sulfide used as a main positive active material and acetylene black used as a main conductive auxiliary agent, an annular seat 1 made of a stainless steel and having a reverse-L-shape is set inside a cylindrical frame 13 of a metal mold 11, and a positive mixture powder is pressed with a pressing member 14 from the upside into a molded body so as to make a positive electrode 4. After that, a positive can 3 is made in contact with the upper end of the frame 13, and the positive molded body 4 is inserted into the can 3 by being pressed upward witha pressing member 15 and extruded from the metal mold 11. Consequently, the spring back effect of the positive electrode 4 can be suppressed, and any warp generation or intensity decrease of the electrode 4 can be prevented.
