Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily control the heating temp. and rate by intermittently irradiating the same part of a metal with a plurality of laser a plurality of times. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical zirconium alloy member 5 is irradiated with lasers 1, 2, 3, 4 from 4 places. The member 5 is rotated in the peripheral direction 6 and linearly moved in the axial direction 7. Accordingly, a point P on the surface of the member 5 is spirally moved and repeatedly subjected to intermittent irradiation of lasers 1, 2, 3, 4. As a result, the heating and cooling cycle can be controlled from the relation among the peripheral speed of the point P, the number of irradiated lasers and the circumference of the cylinder.
