Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled particles containing fine waterdrops, by dispersing a water-in-oil type dispersion containing a liquid rubber as an oily component in an aqueous medium, and crosslinking the liquid rubber contained in the oily component.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous component, e.g. water or an aqueous solution containing a chemical substance, such as a drug component in a cataplasma, is dispersed in a matrix of an oily component containing a liquid rubber, e.g. liquid polybutadiene, having a viscosity-average molecular weight of 10,000W 80,000 and a glass transition temperature ≤10°C, essentially in the form of fine particles to form a water-in-oil type dispersion, which is then dispersed in an aqueous medium in the form of fine particles. The liquid rubber contained in the oily component is crosslinked to give an aqueous dispersion containing the titled particles, and the crosslinked rubber particles are then separated from the aqueous medium to afford the aimed particles.
