Abstract

PURPOSE:To put the face and back of sheets in order efficiently by a method wherein facing surfaces of a belt are placed in a twisted condition, and guide members are provided for guiding both side parts of the sheets which are moved downstream along a passage while being turned. CONSTITUTION:A belt 13 engaged only on a pulley 10b, a pulley 12 and a pulley 15b at an inverting part is placed so that its facing surfaces twisted by 180 deg. while being moved from the pulley 10b to the pulley 12, whereby the sheet P is turned around an axis set in the feed direction so that the sheet fed in a back- side-up condition is inverted into a face-side-up condition. The sheet P thus truned into the face-side-up condition is fed in the direction of the arrow by belts 20a, 20b, 20c which are faced to each other and engaged on pulleys 19a, 19b, 19c fitted on two shafts 18 fixed to a base 1. Both the side parts of the sheet P being moved along the passage while being turned is guided by the guide members 21a, 21b.
