Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a molding resin compsn. having improved impact strength and adhesion of coating, by incorporating an ABS resin into a mixture of mica powder and poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate).
CONSTITUTION: Poly(1,4-buthylene terephthalate) (PBT resin) (a), a graft copolymer (b) consisting of a rubber component composed mainly of a conjugated diolefin and a resin component which contains acrylonitrile and an arom. vinyl compound and which does not contain a methacrylate ester or contains the methacrylate ester in an amount of not more than the content of the arom. vinyl compound and mica powder (c) having a weight-average diameter of 200μ or smaller, are mixed together. Preferred compsn. are those within the range defined by the formulas: 0.4≤(A+B)/(A+B+C)≤0.9; 0.05≤B/(A+B)≤0.5 wherein A, B, and C are weights of PBT resin component, ABS resin component, and mica powder, respectively.
