Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the thermal cracking operation of heavy oils as well as raise the yield of light oils formed, by using a system in which fluidized beds for thermal cracking process and gasification process are provided in contact with both sides of a thermally conductive film and solid particles are circulated between both the processes.
CONSTITUTION: Heavy oil as raw material is sent solely or together with steam, etc., through a pipe 3 from a jet port 3' into a fluidized bed 1' for a thermal cracking zone. Also, steam or a mixture of steam and an inert gas is sent through a pipe 4 and a diffuser 4' into the lower part of the fluidized bed 1'. Most of heat necessary for thermal cracking is conducted from a gasification zone to the thermal cracking zone through a partition wall made of a material having good heat conductivity, provided between the thermal cracking zone and the gasification zone. The products of thermal cracking, or light oils formed in a cooler 16 through a pipe 15, are separated in a receiver 17 and byproduct gases are discharged through a pipe 18 to the outside. Also, gasified substances are discharged from a pipe 19 to the outside.
