Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner wherein a controlling apparatus is simplified, and the cost is reduced, by providing a microcomputer, a temperature detecting circuit, and an electric current detecting circuit thereby a timer deicer is not required and the control can be done by four signal lines. CONSTITUTION:An indoor fan motor 3, an outdoor fan motor 5, a compressor 6, and an electromagnetic valve 7 are connected in parallel, via an operation switch 2, between electric source terminals 1, 1' of the controlling circuit, and further a one chip microcomputer 13, the temperature detecting circuit 14 of an indoor exchanger, and the electric current detecting circuit 24 are provided. When the switch 2 is set for blowing, current is sent to the indoor fan motor 3 to send air, and when the switch 2 is set for cooling, current is sent to the indoor fan motor 3, the outdoor fan motor 5 and the compressor 6 to perform cooling. When the switch 2 is set for heating, a timer in the computer 13 is started to heat, and if it begins frosting on the outdoor heat exchanger, a deicing thermometer 16 is turned on to open a relay 18 to defrost.
