Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the compatibility between a conventional lock and the double operational lock, by making a through-hole in the steering lock while fixing a stopper rod, spring and the housing to enable the double operation locking. CONSTITUTION:A stopper chip 1a is formed on a conventional type steering lock 1. When converting to the double operation type, a through-hole 1b is made while a stopper rod 10, spring and a housing 13 are fixed. A knob 11 is fixed to the stopper rod 10 and the engaging section 10a will engage with the cam of a key through the through-hole 1b. The double operation type locking can be achieved by only adding the rod, spring and a housing, thereby the compatibility of the parts is improved.
