Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the length of a combustion flame and provide a superior combustion having no leaping flame by a method wherein a flow straightening plate is installed so as to enclose a nozzle oppositely facing against a flame holder and an ignition electrode, thereby a volume of air passing through the flame holder oppositely faced to the nozzle is restricted. CONSTITUTION:Combustion air fed from a fan 3 enters into blower cylinder 4 and made to a uniform flow at its entire circumference at a space (a) between the blower cylinder 4 and a flow straightening plate 8, a swirling flow is produced by a swirler 12 at a flame holding device 10 so as to generate a negative pressure area. Then, it is mixed with the injected fuel from the nozzle 5 through the circular hole 11 in the flame holding device 10, combustion of them is occured by a spark from an ignition electrode 9 and its mixing is promoted by the secondary air directed from the air hole to the central axis of the nozzle 5 of an air cone 14. Thereby, it is possible to get a superior combustion.
