Abstract
PURPOSE:To transmit periodically detecting pulses efficiently, by making the transmitting period of ultrasonic pulses coincident approximately with the depth of the sea bottom and transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:An X-axis counter 10 performs counting on the basis of a divided pulse (a) of a frequency dividing circuit 23 till the detection of a sea bottom pulse and counts a pulse train of a clock pulse source 14 after the sea bottom pulse is detected to reset a flip-flop 20. The counter 10 transmits an output pulse when the count value becomes mX, and the next transmission pulse is generated by this output pulse. Since the pulse train of the clock pulse source 14 has a period shorter than that of the pulse train of the frequency dividing circuit 23, transmission pulses are transmitted at intervals of a short time after the detection of the sea bottom pulse; and as a result, the transmission pulse is transmitted in a time equal to the time from the transmission of the ultrasonic pulse to the receiving of the sea bottom pulse.
