Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent swelling property, adhesivity, mechanical strength, etc., and exhibiting a water-stopping effect stably for a long period, by using polymerization reaction product of a liquid rubber containing reactive terminal groups and a urethane prepolymer having hydrophilic groups, as a component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) a liquid rubber having reactive terminal groups (preferably polybutadiene homopolymer having a molecular weight of 3,000W4,000) and (B) a urethane prepolymer having hydrophilic group (preferably an isocyanate group-containing urethane prepolymer composed of an oxyethylene group-containing polyether polyol etc. and a polyisocyanate and having a terminal NCO group content of 1W12%), if necessary adding additives such as inorganic fillers, thickeners, etc. with a kneader, etc., and curing the mixture by heating etc. The amount of the component (B) is preferably 15W100pts.wt. per 100pts. of the component (A).
USE: Water-stopping material for public works and construction works.
