Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure fixing toner which gives superior images in high humidity as well and does not cause flocculation and caking during the storage of the toner by containing polyethylene of low number average mol. wts. and polyethylene of high number average mol. wts. as well as magnetic powder and fatty acid ester. CONSTITUTION:After 15-200pts. by wt. polyethylene of >=5,000 number average mol. by wts. and 0.1-10pts. C1-5 alcohol ester of C12-35 fatty acid are melted and kneaded with 100pts. by wt. magnetic powder of 0.01-5mu gain sizes, the mixture is ground, whereby the magnetic fine particles coated with the high mol. by wt. polyethylene of 0.05-5mu are prepd. After 100pts. by wt. polyethylene of 2,000-5,000 number average mol. by wts. is melted and kneaded with 100pts. by wt. these fine particles, the mixture is ground and sieved, whereby the toner of 5-20mu is obtd. One part hydrophobic colloidal silia is mixed with 100pts. by wt. the toner, whereby the pressure fixable toner is obtd. In this way, the stable toner of good dispersibility of the magnetic power and stable developing performance is obtd.
