Abstract
PURPOSE:To operate the superconducting device safely and economically while inhibiting transition by mounting the controller giving a proper refrigerant in response to the changing rate of the conducting currents of the superconducting device in the circulating cooling of the superconducting device. CONSTITUTION:Helium as the refrigerant is liquefied by a liquefier 15 and forwarded into a reservoir 14, and circulates in a superconducting coil 10 in a vessel 11 and cools the coil, and gasified helium is returned to the liquefier 15 and liquefied again. A flow rate controller 24 adjusting the flow rate of liquid helium as the refrigerant obtains the current value of the superconducting coil 10 from a power supply 12, the calorific value of the superconducting coil 10 is presupposed, and arithmetically operated by an arithmetic device 22, control signals 23 are outputted and the flow rate is controlled. Accordingly, proper quantities of the refrigerant is flowed, and the superconducting device can safely be operated economically without causing transition.
