Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to control output of an induction generator having favorable and speedy responsiveness only by electric control by a method wherein phase control is performed on an AC-DC converter or a separately excited inverter. CONSTITUTION:The induction generator IG is driven by a prime mover PM, AC output thereof is converted into DC power by a leading reactive power supplying means and the AC-DC converter 1, and is converted again into AC power by the separately excited inverter 3 to be supplied to a commercial AC power source AC. Output of the induction generator is controlled by performing phase control on at least either of the AC-DC converter 1 or the separately excited inverter. Accordingly control of output can be performed on the induction generator having favorable speedy responsiveness only by electric control without providing the prime mover with a complicated speed regulating mechanism.
