Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease power comsumption and reduce the size and weight of a transformer by employing a switching-regulator method in controlling motors and by performing feedback control.
CONSTITUTION: Ac input power is rectified by a rectifer 21, and a square wave is formed by the on-off operation of a switching means 3 and is fed to a transformer 4. The output of the transformer is rectified and smoothed and is used to drive a motor 30. Voltage feedback is carried out by a detector 7, the switching means 3 is controlled, and the number of rotation of the motor is set. The number of rotation of the motor is sensed by the motor current and fed-back, thereby the number of rotation is controlled at a constant value. In this constituion, since the power consumption at the switching means 3 is negligible, the overall power comsumption can also be decreased, and the size and weight of the transformer can be reduced because of high frequency.
